JOB POSITION - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As a business development manager, you will be selling production printing equipment, as well as related materials, consumables and supplies across the Greater Toronto Area, and Canada. You will primarily be selling to small to medium-sized businesses. This role is primarily new business development with some warm leads supplied. The base salary is $94,000 ($70,000 base + $24,000 guaranteed commissions).

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:
• Head Office - Scarborough, Ontario
• Working from the office 4 days a week
• This is an outside sales position, with 1 day a week on the road
• The sales territory is predominately the Greater Toronto Area
• Full-time - Monday to Friday


EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
•Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of printing-related sales experience selling similar Printing Equipment or print-related services.


TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Excel - Intermediate
• PowerPoint - Basic
• MS Word - Intermediate
• Google Drive/Docs - Basic

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION MAKER(S):
• Commercial printers and in-house print facilities

 

SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:
• Average order size is $25,000 - $50,000 +
• Average revenue by customer $100,000 +
• Average length of sales cycle 1 - 3 months

LEADS:
• 75% Prospecting/Cold Calling
• 25% following up on warm Leads


OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

SUPPORT & TRAINING:
• Job Shadowing
• Mentoring
• 2 - 3 weeks of sales training
• 2 - 4 weeks of technical training
• Within 2 - 3 weeks you selling to clients
