National Business Development Manager – Traffic Signage Manufacturer

As an inside/outside sales, you will be selling standard and customizable aluminum signs/sheets to signage company within Ontario. This position will be focusing on new business development. You will report to the CEO and work closely with the GM and operation team. This position offers a base salary of $60K to $90K plus residual commission, car allowance on millage and a lot other perks!

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Base salary of $60K to $90K plus quarterly commission with residual on accounts brought on as new

OFFICE LOCATION AND SALES TERRITORY:

  • Head Office - North York
  • Working from Office (5 days/week) for first 6 months (Flexible work arrangement possible after initial onboarding period based on performance)
  • Sales Territory is Ontario and Western Canada

 

EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-10 years of B2B sales experience on new business development roles 
  • Experienced in the signage industry would be an asset
  • Experienced in related materials, metals industries and understand concepts like raw materials, production would be applicable.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) – Advanced

 

THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION

  • Aluminum sheets that are cut into different shapes and sizes for signage
  • Traffic signs, danger signs, caution signs.
    - Light boxes for signs at retail outlets with company names backlit. 
    - Menu cards for restaurants. 
    - Lawn signs

SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:

  • Targeted order size is $1000, average order size is around $400
  • Sales cycle is 1-2 days or 1-4 weeks

1st Year: 

  • 100% of new business development 

2nd Year: 

  • 50% of New Business Development
  • 50% of Account Management

 

LEADS:

  • Warm Leads Supplied: 25%
  • List Supplied: 25%
  • Prospect & Create Own List: 50%

 

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

  • Less than 10% (Travel outside of the GTA to other areas like London or Windsor could be expected)

 

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

  • Training program would last approximately one week to familiarize the candidate with production, inventory management, and any other areas needed.
  • Would spend time with the GM, marketing team, and in different departments like design and production to understand operations.
